3rd grade has a big math assessment this week! Mrs. Wallace’s class is reviewing multiplication facts by playing Memory! Students had to match the model with the equal groups card. Once a match is made they write the multiplication equation on their recording sheet. Mathematicians in the making. #bbelem #bprd

Ms. Hamby’s class loves read around the room time! During the week, students earn tickets for meeting expectations and following the class social contract. On Friday, 6 tickets are drawn for special flexible seating options that students love to read in. Everyone else gets the opportunity to read under their desk. #bbelem #bprd
Today in Mrs. Tallie’s class, students worked in groups to group together related information to their new book: The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jaques Cousteau! Students had so much fun and worked well in groups. Very proud! #bbelem #bprd

Mrs. Manek’s class has been working on making inferences and predictions! Last week, they read lots of books including a wordless picture book called “Pancakes for Breakfast.” They had to use the pictures in the book to infer what the story was about. One page showed a lady using milk to churn butter because she ran out, but her class said, “why didn’t she just go to the store?” So Friday, they made their own butter! Each kid got a turn to shake up the jar until their arms felt like they were going to fall off! Then, they got to relax and enjoy their butter with some bread! #bbelem #bprd
