Superintendent's Letter to the Graduates

Dear Members of the Beebe High School Class of 2019:

\r\n

\tI would like to take this time to congratulate you on a job well done!  You have officially crossed the threshold from high school to the real world.  This accomplishment is no small feat, one of which you should be very proud. You have spent the last 13 years of your life working toward this milestone, and your dedication has finally paid off.  As you prepare to take your next step in life, I hope that you will take with you not only the knowledge you have gained in the classroom but also the memories and life lessons you have learned along the way.

\r\n

\tAs someone who has been in your shoes, I would like to offer you some advice for the future. First, do not allow yourself to take the easy way out. We live in a world full of instant gratifications, with digital devices and information at our fingertips.  However, the path to success in whatever field you choose will require patience and a relentless work ethic. Have faith in your abilities and challenge yourself to reach new heights.  Next, resolve to persevere through life’s disappointments. Failure is an inevitable part of life, and often our greatest lessons and opportunities are found on the other side of it. Finally, do your part to make the world a better place for future generations.  Do not be a bystander but instead take action and set the wheels of change into motion.

\r\n

\tI will end with this quote from Steve Jobs- “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”  I have no doubt that you all have bright futures ahead, no matter what paths you choose to take. I hope that you will look back fondly on your days at Beebe Public Schools and remember where it all began.  Good luck and remember- Badger Pride Runs Deep!

\r\n

Sincerely,

\r\n

Chris Nail, Ed. D
