Feeling Festive in room 306! ~Mrs.King

Students in Ms. Davis' classes researched the habitat and the role of an animal in the ecosystem. Students then wrote a bio poem about their animal. Students had fun presenting their Animal bio poem to the class.

An annual tradition in Mr. Belew's 5th Grade Classroom is the deck the desk competition. Students are allowed to bring holiday decorations and personalize their desk. As long as they leave themselves a work surface, pretty much anything goes! It's a winter wonderland in there!

Read the information regarding December 19 and 20!

Please make sure your students are sent to school with a coat. Students will go out to recess as long the temperature is above freezing.
Please Dojo or email Mrs. Rector if your student is in need of a winter coat.

If your student is wanting to drop their elective class (band, choir, EAST, engineering, or yearbook), they must see Mrs. Rector to obtain a form. The form must be signed by the student, parent, and the elective teacher before it can be returned back to Mrs. Rector. Forms are due by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13; late forms will not be accepted. The student will remain in the elective through December 20. If the student returns the form with the required signatures by December 13, he/she will remain in their homeroom teacher's STEAM class when we return in January.
Please send any questions to Mrs. Rector on Dojo or by emailing her at crector@beebeschools.org.

The amount of reading a child does directly affect their reading ability, writing skills, achievement in school, and love of learning. Our fifth graders need books in their hands every day. As teachers, we provide opportunities for students to read at school, but our students also need access to books they can take home to read.
It’s important for our Language Arts teachers to be able to provide a large and diverse collection of books that our students want to dive into. Many of our classroom libraries are several years old and not up to date. We don’t have enough graphic novels for all our students who are interested in them.
Please help us give our students constant access to relevant and exciting books, including graphic novel series and other books they love! You can either donate your gently used books or click on the link for Donors Choose. Please email Mrs. Difani with any questions at jdifani@beebeschools.org.

Students in Ms. Davis' classes discover the role worms play in decomposing dead material and releasing nutrients into the soil. Students observe worms and then design their own “fair test” investigations of worm behavior. Students first make close observations of worms. Then, they conduct a simple experiment to figure out if worms prefer dry or wet areas.

The Badger Pantry will be open from 8:30- noon on Wednesday.

Get ready for Reindeer Games!! More information coming soon!!

Does your student know a lot of random facts? Are they a little competitive? Try out for Quiz Bowl, a team trivia competition. Try-outs will be after school in the Middle School Cafeteria until 4:30 on Wednesday, November 20. Email Mr. Davis with any questions at bdavis@beebeschool.org.

The Beebe Ballpark is hosting a Kickball Tournament this Saturday November 16th to benefit the Beebe Angel Tree Project. Your Beebe Middle School Marauders (teachers and staff) will be in action against the best the community has to offer! Come out and support a great cause, have some fun, buy out the concession stand, and witness the reason why so many teachers will probably call in sick on Monday! Games start at 5:00 and admission is $5.00 each!

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Mrs. Pasley and her afternoon class along with Nurse Stacy! Students noticed that a friend was coughing a lot and turning red; they immediately told Mrs. Pasley, and she got the student to Nurse Stacy. Nurse Stacy went into action, and the student is healthy and in this picture today!
