Mrs. Vaden’s Social Studies classes traveled this week to New England and to the Rocky Mountains!
Students read colorful brochures of Fall Foliage Fun and A Winter Wonderland of Survival, and worked in
teams to “pack their gear” for the two adventures. The students are studying the Five Themes of
Geography, and utilized their skills to determine their needs based on climate and environment for each
outing. The Five Themes of Geography background gives greater understanding of the influences that
shape the History 5 th graders will study throughout the year.

Every homeroom teacher at BMS is working with their students to make our school as safe and productive as possible. Students were asked the four questions pictured, and then their answers were recorded and agreed upon by all students in the class. You can see the results!

Mr. Belew's 5th grade science class is enjoying the first days of school by helping to stock the new aquarium. So far it is home to Sheldon the turtle and Goldie the fish. A great big thank you to Bob and Kim Pruitt for their donation of the tank!

If your student participated in the recent Bluebird House Project at Beebe Middle School we would like to have a picture of the installed house along with the student that built it! Email the picture to: johnny.belew@badger.k12.ar.us

In science, Ms. Davis's class enjoyed learning about food chains by playing card games. They also researched an animal and created animal bio poems.
In math, we also played games to practice reading, writing, comparing, and rounding decimals.
