Mrs. S. Overstreet’s 5th grade math class practice converting fractions using recipes. The last question had students convert a recipe for 4 pancakes to a recipe that serves 22 people. And then Mrs. Overstreet put their work into action for a breakfast treat! #BPRD #BMSTogether

Each year, April is set aside as a military child appreciation month, officially known as the Month of the Military Child. With its creation in the mid-1980s, the Pentagon and other military support organizations and agencies use the month to recognize military kids for their sacrifice and bravery on the homefront. Today at BMS, we saw these children make connections with other students who share some of the same experiences.
