DLT Meeting Recap
At yesterday's monthly District Leadership Team meeting, administrators had a fun and productive time exploring best practices in communication and breaking down student data to identify strengths and weaknesses. They even got to hear from Marsha Masters about all that Economics Arkansas has to offer for K-12 students and teachers! To wrap up the meeting, Mr. Prothro passed "The Beebe" on to our fearless leader - Dr. Nail!

BHS | Fine Arts Advocacy Day
Drama students attended the Fine Arts Advocacy day at the Little Rock State Capitol! They heard amazing performances, speakers, and visited with advocacy groups! #BPRD




BMS | 5th Grade Scientists 🧬
Last week in Mrs. Alexander’s class, students learned four ways to separate mixtures (sieve, paper filter, magnets, & evaporation.) Students got to test their knowledge by separating mixtures of water and coffee grounds using a paper filter! #BPRD





We had a great morning with our ASU-Beebe partners on how we can collaborate to better prepare our students for college & the workforce! #BPRD #CTE @ASUBeebe



Mrs. Wolff’s classes had a busy, but fun week last week! Lifespan Development classes reviewed the reproductive system and pregnancy with the help of Mr. Justin Shipp and the anatomage table! Students got to see a baby inside the mother’s body!
Also, students in Advanced Child Care volunteer twice a week at CAPCA Head Start. Each week, they do activities with the students. Another part of the class is creating a bulletin board for the classroom. Students Hayley Mills and Madason Matthews did a great job for the October theme, “Trees!” #BPRD





Today is Custodial Workers Appreciation Day! We are so thankful for all that our custodians do to keep our schools clean & functional! Check out this super-sized Thank You card that Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Rodgers, & Mrs. Money's Enrichment classes made for their custodians at BMS! #BPRD

Mrs. Money’s enrichment group was making a thank you card for their custodian Ms. Charlotte when Ms. Washam came through with Benjamin “Benny” the support dog. Students got to show Benny some love and there were smiles all around! #BPRD

Students in Ms. Pasley’s have been working in groups to complete their Evidence Elaboration guide over the novel Thunder Rolling in the Mountains! Critical thinking is challenging, but they are doing a great job! #BPRD

BMS | Investigating Mixtures
Mrs. Pasley’s and Ms. Davis’s classes had a lot of fun investigating mixtures! Students created a procedure to separate a mixture, and they worked together to complete an escape room. #BPRD





BMS | FREEDOM WEEK 🇺🇸
Students at Beebe Middle School are celebrating Freedom Week through a variety of activities! In Library, they are performing a scavenger hunt to learn facts about the Constitution. And Ms. Pasley’s 5th graders are learning about American symbols! #BPRD





Today was Take Your Legislator to School Day at Beebe Schools, and we had some very special guests! Attendees included U. S. Representative French Hill, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Representative Jim Wooten, Davis Threlkeld, Field Representative for Senator Tom Cotton, and Beebe Board of Education members Jason Smith, Bennie Brock Jr., Clay Goff, Martha Farmer, and Chris McElmurry. They visited the Beebe High School Career and Technical Education Center to view a demonstration of the Health Science department’s new anatomage table then stopped in to see Mrs. Lindsay Sanders’ and Sayward Poertner’s AP Government classes to share about the importance of their role as U.S. citizens! Thank you to all who attended! #BPRD





BHS | YOGA PRACTICE 🧘
Mrs. Davis’ Life & Fitness Nutrition class stepped out of their comfort zones and practiced yoga. Many of the students enjoyed it and said they felt more flexible and relaxed afterwards. #BPRD

Criminal Justice students took advantage of the beautiful weather and utilized the amphitheater as their outdoor classroom while working on facial composites! #BPRD





BMS | WRITING PRACTICE 📝
Last week, Mrs. Jessica Difani's 5th graders wrote about the different values and beliefs of the Nez Perce people and the American settlers in the year 1870. They utilized the ToSEEC method to use evidence from the text and elaborate with their own thoughts!
