Our future teachers have had a busy week! 🍎 Pre-Educator students were invited to showcase their very own program at CTE Day at the Capitol on February 1st! Students heard from the Secretary of Education, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, 2023 AR Teacher of the Year Beau McCastlain, and many others. Students were given the opportunity to discuss their program and the experiences they have gained as interns. They also promoted our CTSO, Educators Rising for aspiring teachers. Earlier this week, students were invited to attend Beebe School District’s first job fair! They were able to see the different departments and jobs offered in our district currently. We can't wait to see how high these future educators soar! #BPRD

Good morning Badgers! After receiving feedback from both our parents and our staff, it has been determined that we will add minutes to our school day in order to make up for the time lost from January 16th-22nd. The new daily schedule at each school will be as follows: • Early Childhood: Start at 7:50 am, Staggered release depending on pick up method (3:09-3:27 pm) • Elementary: Start at 7:50 am, Release at 3:24 pm • Middle School: Start at 7:50 am, Release at 3:14 pm • Junior High: Start at 7:50 am, Release at 3:26 pm • High School: Start at 7:50 am, Release at 3:26 pm • Pre-K: At this time, there will be no change in the current Pre-K schedule. We are awaiting further guidance from the state on what the expectation will be to make up missed days. The extended days will begin Monday, January 29th and go through Friday, May 24th. By adding these minutes, we will be able to keep the following school calendar days in tact: • There will be NO SCHOOL on February 16th and February 19th. • The last day of school will be Friday, May 24th. Please note the following: • There will be no change in the times students are picked up and dropped off of buses in the morning. Middle School Shuttle drop off will still be 7:15-7:40 at the shuttle station. • Car riders may be dropped off at 7:30. • Breakfast will still be served daily. • The afternoon car pick up and bus loading will be approximately 15 minutes later. Each school will be sending out additional communication today about the logistics of this change, such as student pick up and drop off and daily schedules. We understand this will take a few days of adjustment for staff, students, and parents. Please know that school staff will show grace during this transition and are always willing to help should an extenuating circumstance arrive. Thank you for working with us to make this adjustment.
