Governor Asa Hutchinson has declared today "NASA Day in Arkansas," and Mrs. Diana Whitehead's 5th Grade Science students are recognizing this special day by studying about Apollo 11. Today and tomorrow at Beebe High School, students are participating in a skilled professions career fair. The Be Pro Be Proud Career Fair, featuring Arkansas' own Be Pro Be Proud mobile unit, shows students how many options they have in the skilled professions world upon graduating high school. Complete with multiple skill simulators, such as a Construction X-ray, CNC router, and Welding Stations, the Workforce Workshop mobile unit gives students a glimpse into a day in the life of these professions. In addition to visiting the Workforce Workshop, students are meeting representatives from various trade schools and agencies, such as Arkansas Elite Welding Academy, Greenway Farm Equipment, and even Union Pacific Railroad.
