This is my 28th year in education. I have spent 24 years at Beebe. Nineteen of those years were spent coaching and teaching. This is my 9th year in administration. Five years were spent in Early Childhood and Elementary administration. I spent 2 years as an Assistant Principal at Beebe High School and I am now in my 2nd year as the High School Principal.

The thing I enjoy most about working with students and staff is being part of the journey helping them accomplish their goals for the year. Education is such a tough profession but one of the most rewarding ones.

I love to spend time with my 3 kids, attend sporting events, fishing , golfing, and trying new foods.

Some of the most memorable moments in my career are from coaching football and the camaraderie between our players and coaches.

My favorite book is by Bill Walsh, a former NFL football coach. It is called "The Score Takes Care of Itself, My Philosophy on Leadership."

The best advice I can give students to have a successful year is: Create good habits for yourself at school, in your community, and at home. Work hard at the little things in life.

Another Friday, another round of Staff Shout Outs! We are so lucky to have them in Beebe School District! #bprd

It's National Principals Month! Let’s take a moment to celebrate the leaders who make our schools feel like home. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing the heartfelt stories behind why our principals love what they do. Next up is Junior High Principal, Mrs. Kelli McNeill! #BPRD
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥?
I’ve been in education since 2012 and served as an assistant principal for one year before stepping into my current role. This is my second year as principal at Beebe Junior High School, and I’m passionate about leading our school and creating a positive environment for students and staff.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟?
What I enjoy most about working with students and staff is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and witness growth every day. Seeing students discover their potential and helping staff create a positive, engaging environment is incredibly rewarding. I love being part of a team dedicated to making a difference in students' lives and supporting one another along the way.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?
In my free time, I love being outdoors as much as possible. Whether it's fishing, boating, ATV riding, or just spending time in nature, I enjoy the peace and adventure of being outside. I also love to unwind with a good book whenever I can, sitting in front of a fire.
𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥?
At the Junior High, we also make it a point to circle up every morning and pray over the day ahead, which sets a positive tone and reminds us of the importance of supporting one another. Every afternoon after the buses leave, Dr. Nail usually shares a good story or offers some words of advice, and it's always a great way to end the day. I value those moments with other administrators, hearing about their day and sharing experiences.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮?
One of my favorite books is Everybody Always by Bob Goff. It’s incredibly inspiring and reminds me of the importance of loving and accepting people without limits. The way Goff shares his stories and encourages us to live with kindness and compassion has had a lasting impact on how I approach both my personal and professional life.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫?
My advice to students for a successful school year is to stay focused, work hard, and never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Building good habits like staying organized and managing your time will make a big difference. Most importantly, be kind to yourself and others—relationships and a positive attitude are just as important as your academic achievements. Stay determined, and don't give up when things get tough!
