March is National Developmental & Intellectual Disabilities Awareness Month. Today is National "Spread the Word to End the Word" Day. BHS students participated by wearing their Inclusion t-shirts & signing a pledge to spread inclusion & end the hurtful use of the "R" word! #BPRD

A big congratulations goes out to Beebe Jr. High teacher Sayward Poertner as she won the "12 Days of PD" Challenge from Arkansas IDEAS! After completing the required 12 hours of training for the contest, Ms. Poertner was entered into a drawing, and her name was selected. As her prize, a TV crew from AETN visited Beebe Jr. High today to feature Ms. Poertner and several of her students in an interview. They even got to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog! Be on the lookout for us to share the full interview as soon as it is posted. Way to go Ms. Poertner, and thank you for representing Beebe Schools so well!

At last night's Beebe Chamber of Commerce Banquet, BHS Senior Ashton McKenzie was awarded the Chamber of Commerce Business Scholarship. Ashton will be attending college at ASU Beebe in the fall. Congratulations Ashton! #BPRD
