First grade students in art were quilting like Gee's Bend, Alabama! Gee's Bend quilts are world-renowned textile art from an isolated African-American community in Alabama, known for their vibrant, abstract, and improvisational designs, born from necessity using old clothes and work fabrics to provide warmth and later recognized as significant American art, gaining international acclaim through major museum exhibitions starting in 2002. These quilts, created by generations of women, feature bold geometric patterns and unique piecing, reflecting a deep visual culture and resilience, with their tradition dating back to the 19th century.

🏫 Return: Back to school by 2:30 p.m.

🍎 Please pack lunches in a disposable bag (no lunch boxes).

🚫 No concessions available, but food and drinks are allowed inside.

Parents meeting us there, please arrive by 9:15 a.m. so you can join your child’s class rotation!

The Badger Family Food Pantry will be open from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm every 3rd Wednesday of the month. They will be open this Wednesday, October 15th.

Each year, in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health, we host an in-school immunization clinic to provide flu vaccines to our students.

Flu shot forms are being sent home today!
If you would like your child to receive a vaccine, please return all necessary forms by Thursday, October 16th.
