Mrs. Belew's Classroom News

Team Belew/Underwood has been hard at work in both science and math! In science, scholars have just finished studying the muscular and skeletal body systems. They even created bones out of construction paper to test the weight and determine which shape of bone was the strongest. The activity/lab was followed by small group discussions about how our muscles and bones work together, why they are important, and what life would be like without one or the other.

In math, scholars have been learning how to use ratios and rate reasoning to solve real-world problems. We recently finished up a section on figuring percentages, and scholars have excelled at seeing percents in their daily lives. They ended last week by creating a question, polling the class, figuring the percentages, and creating posters to display their results!IMG_3488.JPG
