MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Beebe Public School District is to utilize all resources in providing learning opportunities, tools, progressive technology, and guidance to enable all students to become productive citizens and life long learners.

ABOUT US:

At Beebe School District, the vision of “Preparing Every Student for Success” is a top priority. The district prides itself on the vast opportunities that are available to students at every level. Beebe School District is located in the southern portion of White County and serves the towns of Beebe, McRae, Garner, Antioch, Floyd, and El Paso. Five schools make up the 5A district - Beebe Early Childhood (K-1), Beebe Elementary (2-4 and Pre-K), Beebe Middle School (5-6), Beebe Junior High (7-8), and Beebe High School (9-12). Additionally, the OASIS Center (7-12), CUBS Academy (K-6), and DREAM Academy (9-12), which are serviced by Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative, provide an alternate learning path for students who struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom environment. Currently, 3,334 students are enrolled in Grades Pre-K through 12. The district employs 422 staff members, with 244 of those being certified. The teacher:pupil ratio for the 2018-19 school year was 15:1.

Beebe School District’s highly dedicated faculty and staff as well as strong community backing make it a first class choice. A consistent focus on academics as well as extracurricular activities allows students to achieve a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success. In Fall 2019, Beebe Middle School, Junior High, and High School all received high growth awards from the Office of Education Policy. These awards highlight schools in Arkansas who achieved high student growth on the ACT Aspire exams in Mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA).

Beebe High School’s Advanced Placement programs are highly successful and continue to grow every year. In the 2018-19 school year, Beebe High School earned the first College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. Out of more than 18,000 secondary schools worldwide that offer AP courses, Beebe High School is one of only 685 to accomplish this.

In addition to the core subjects, Beebe School District prides itself on the wide range of career and technical education (CTE) opportunities available to help students learn and apply real-world skills. Engineering courses are offered starting in 5th Grade all the way through High School. Engineering and STEM are even incorporated into student projects as early as 2nd Grade. And Beebe High School was the first school in the state to offer an unmanned aerial systems (UAS) program, which allows students to become certified drone pilots at the age of 16. Other CTE programs offered by the high school include agricultural education, business education, career guidance, computer science, criminal justice, family and consumer sciences, health science, audio visual technology and communication, and AFJROTC.

Furthermore, Beebe High School is fortunate to partner with ASU Beebe and ASU Searcy to offer students career courses and certifications off campus, including power sports technology, automotive service technology, auto body collision repair, computerized machining technology, welding, and a health care clinical internship. Students can also join the Vanguard Academy, which is a concurrent enrollment program provided through a partnership with ASU Beebe. Through this program, students are able to prepare for the academic challenges of college by enrolling in ASU Beebe courses either at Beebe High School or on ASU Beebe’s campus before beginning full-time college studies. Located just across the street from the Beebe Schools campus, ASU Beebe is a convenient option for students who wish to enroll in classes at both locations.

New in the 2019-20 school year, students have the option to enroll in the DREAM Academy, a non-traditional HUB program that is geared toward helping at-risk students succeed in a school setting that is tailored to their goals and needs. DREAM Academy gives students a flexible option that is positive and career focused. It is open to Grades 9-12 but is primarily for students in 11th and 12th Grade who have extenuating circumstances and may be at risk of dropping out. In the HUB program, students work in an online curriculum through APEX and Google Classroom. A typical schedule for a DREAM Academy associate is half a day for two days per week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. On Fridays, DREAM Academy associates often have the opportunity to take career-related trips. DREAM Academy is a unique opportunity for those students who may not have felt that they had a path to graduation before now.

With dozens of athletic and extracurricular opportunities, students at Beebe Schools can all find their niche. Athletic teams include Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Wrestling, Cheer, Dance, and Bowling. Band, ROTC, FFA, FBLA, HOSA, FCCLA, Choir, and Theatre are just a few of the award-winning extracurricular organizations that students can join.

At Beebe School District, providing students with a safe and positive school environment goes hand in hand with academic teaching and learning. The district’s newest initiative, Capturing Kids’ Hearts, proves that it is not only what is taught, but how it is taught that is important. The mission of this program is to lead students and staff alike to their personal best. Practices such as social contracts and affirmations have led to increased positivity and more meaningful relationships throughout the district.

Beebe School District is committed to an ongoing, collaborative relationship with parents and community members. In Beebe, “Badger Pride Runs Deep,” and this can be seen throughout the city and schools. Stakeholders can stay informed on what is happening in the district by following Beebe School District on Facebook and Beebe_Schools on Twitter and Instagram.
