Beebe Jr. High Students Participate in "Get Real--Here's the Deal" Simulation.

Beebe Jr. High Students learned real-life lessons about money management on November 23rd as part of “Get Real -- Here’s the Deal.” The simulation was organized by Beebe Jr. High FBLA for American Enterprise Day. The simulation was put on by White County Cooperative Extension Service and took place at Beebe Jr. High School.

“Get Real -- Here’s the Deal” is a simulation for students that gives them the opportunity to experience their future in a financial decision-making. Students are encouraged to make wise financial lifestyle decisions similar to those faced each month by adults. Participants move from station to station, making decisions based on their family size and affordability. Stations are operated by community members representing various sectors of services and business.

Over 30 volunteers, including four members of the White County Cooperative Extension Service Office, donated their time to make the simulation a success for Beebe Jr. High Students. Beebe Jr. High would like to thank all of the volunteers and give a special thanks to the following members of the White County Extension Office: Brian Haller – CEA Agriculture-Staff Chair, Amy Heck – CEA-4H/Agriculture, Morgan Lassiter – 4H Program Assistant and Sherri Sanders – CEA-Agriculture.
