BHS Students and Parents | TOMORROW, Friday, March 29th, our Criminal Justice Department, along with local law enforcement, will be hosting our "Don't Drink and Drive" event for our 11th and 12th grade students. The event will be held in the Beebe Auditorium parking lot. This is an accident simulation created to heighten awareness of the consequences involved from drinking and driving. Between 8:45am and 9:30am, emergency personnel will be on the scene, complete with flashing lights and sirens. There is no cause for alarm as this is just a simulation. BHS AFJROTC Cadets recently volunteered with the Beebe Retirement Center! In a message from Shayne and Mary Henson, "Just wanted to send a big shout out and thank you to the AFJROTC students that came to visit Beebe Retirement Center today. These students where amazing, polite and put smiles on several residents faces!! They visited, helped residents decorate Christmas cards for soldiers, played bean bag and bingo!!! BHS Business Law students completed a fundraiser and were able to present a check to Dr. Shook and Mrs. Blauser. Due to widespread illness, tomorrow, Friday, February 16th, will be an AMI day for students and teachers. Students will be required to complete Day 2 of their AMI Packets that were handed out earlier this semester. Students can also access their AMI Packets online by accessing the Beebe High School Webpage. AMI Work will be due when classes resume on Tuesday, February 20th. School will also be dismissed on Monday, February 19th, as previously scheduled. We hope you have a great weekend! Hopefully this break will help slow the spread of illness!

Announcement | The Ministerial Alliance’s Coats for Kids will be Saturday, Nov. 4th from 8:00-12:00pm at the Beebe Church of Christ. Coats for kids of all ages will be free. Children must accompany parents and parents must bring proof of school district residency

Tickets are 15.00. - There will be a pumpkin carving/decorating contest going on till halftime. Bring your dollar bills to vote for your favorite. The pumpkin with the most money wins. Congratulations to the Beebe High School Marching Band, as they added more awards to their trophy case! The BHS Marching Band participated in the Showcase of Bands this past Saturday, and received all 1’s, which is the best score you can recieve! Also in the 4A Overall Division, they received Best Solo Performance and Best Percussion! Great job BHS Marching Band!

BHS Seniors | Project Graduation met last night, and here are some update from that meeting: - Points for the Golf Scramble have been adjusted: 1,000 points per sponsor and 1,500 per team. - For those who would like to work golf tourney October 28th sign up in Coach Pinkerton's room. Bring goody bag items for golf (approx 128 items) or door prize items for points . - Online auction is November 11th . See Mrs. Payne or Missy Haley for details. Forms to enter items are in Mrs. Payne's room. - Pumpkins entry's can be for anyone . If you bring me an entry and put seniors name responsible, you can earn 100pts. The 1st 30 entries compete. Pumpkin contest forms will be in Coach Pinkerton's room. Deadline October 25th or when we reach 30 entries . - We will have Fear Factory tickets for sell beginning Thursday. $15 each. 100 points for each ticket sold by a senior. BHS Class of 2018, there will be a Project Graduation meeting this Thursday, September 7th, at 6 p.m. in the North Library. This is for all seniors and your parents. Project Grad is the all-night celebration of the Class of 2018, following graduation on May 11th. It's a wonderful, fun-filled, special time to spend together with your fellow classmates, and is sponsored and funded by parents and our community. It takes a lot of work, and Mark and Tamara Pinkerton are our lead parents this year. I hope you'll join them in working to make this extra special! The Beebe Choir Department would like to welcome everyone to their upcoming Holiday Concerts. On Monday, December 12th the 9th-12th grade choir students will perform at 7:30 pm in the BHS Auditorium. On Tuesday, December 13th the 7th and 8th grade choir students will perform at 7:30 pm. Admission is free for both events and the doors will open to the public at 7 pm.
Coach O'Conner, Mrs. Nance, and Mrs. Sanders all held presidential elections in their classes. It was a fun way to engage students during the presidential election. 299 students cast their votes in the mock election. Here were the results: Trump = 167 votes 56%, Clinton = 57 votes 19%, Third party = 75 votes 25%

BHS 11-12 is hosting a FINANCIAL AID NIGHT for parents Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the 9-10 cafeteria. Lisa Smith from the Arkansas Department of Higher Education will be here to discuss state funding resources, including the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship. A representative from ASU Beebe's Financial Aid office will be here to talk about federal and institutional funding. This information will be useful to any student going to school regardless of what that school might be. All parents are invited to attend.
