The beginning of the school year has been spent learning about each other and readying ourselves to become top notch Sixth Grade Scholars. We have discussed classroom procedures and assessed our knowledge in reading and writing. In reading class we are learning to apply the elements of fiction to analyze the books we are reading. In writing our focus has been to build a ideas section in our Writer's Notebook.to helps us grow into writers this year. In social studies we have studied the move from hunter-gathers to agriculture societies.
