Sixth Period Enrichment

Sixth period every day during enrichment rotation, you will find students working on a variety of activities in Mrs. Bledsoe’s classroom.  When you walk into the room, students might be independently reading, or they might be working on a project of some sort - writing poetry, or working on a slide presentation, or they might be completing class work that they were unable to finish during regular class time.  You will see students helping other students either in group work or partners. You might see some students in a contest to see who can type the fastest, or finish a word search the quickest. This “RTI/Enrichment” period helps students to take ownership and responsibility for their own learning and academic successes. Those students that need extra time to finish class work, get it. Those students who want to research a topic that was touched on in class, do it. Those students who love to read, have that extra reading time. And other students may just need a little down time from the hectic trials of a regular middle school day. This sixth period is just another avenue that Mrs. Bledsoe and other 5th grade teachers at Beebe Middle School utilize to insure that their students have a meaningful and satisfying  learning experience in 5th grade.
