Beebe Junior High FBLA was contacted by Beebe Early Childhood about a student in Beebe Early Childhood who was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago (Sarah). Sarah must travel back and forth to Arkansas Children’s Hospital over the next few months for treatments, so the FBLA was asked to make a gift basket for Sarah and her family. The items in the gift basket would help with the travel expenses, food expenses, and also include activities to keep Sarah busy in her free time.

Beebe Junior High FBLA used this opportunity to get the whole Junior High student body and faculty involved in this community service event. The FBLA called the event “Something for Sarah,” and over the month of January, students, parents, and faculty brought items for Sarah. When all was said and done, Beebe Junior High collected many toys/games, food items, store gift cards, gas gift cards, and fast food gift cards for Sarah and her family. Thanks to the generosity of the Junior High, one gift basket was not able to hold it all.
